We are seeking for professionals to incorporate into our Smart Reporting team, as Data Specialist, engineer for a project to provide ad-hoc reporting services in a highly available, flexible and timely manner, managing high volumes of data.

On the offered position the engineer will work on designing and implementing the additional data sources as well as maintaining existing ones into a data-warehouse utilized by our Sales Analytics cell, depending on our Big Data cluster.
We are looking for an open-minded and proactive team player whose passion is communication and software development to join our growing team.
This position is available for Praha or Brno.
Your tasks
As ODI / ETL Specialist you will:
- Design and Build and the process for the load and transformation of data converging from different diverse sources into our data stores, with the purpose of fulfilling business requirements.
- Sustaining existent ETL / ODI scenarios adjusting the pipelines as required.
As data analyst you will:
- Ensure that the data assets of the application are supported by its information technology Architecture patterns.
- Be able to effectively communicate highly technical information to numerous audiences, including senior management, and less-experienced staff.
- Contribute to the continual redesign of the organization's data model and/or transition to a common model.
- Perform analysis on project tasks with broad implication for the business and/or the future architecture, successfully addressing cross-technology and cross-platform issues.
- Transform complex customer business requirements into effective, efficient, and maintainable enterprise-level solutions
Your profile
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with development in ETL tool (Oracle Data integrator, Informatica)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with (Conceptual Logical or Physical) Data Modeling (use and understand the concept)
- Minimum of 2 years working with scripting on relational databases - MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL queries and query performance tuning. Experience on Sybase IQ is a big PLUS.
- Experience with GIT and Bash Scripting (very necessary)
- Strong communication, presentation and written skills.
- Superior critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience in data collection, automation and integration from a variety of data sources.
- Ability to analyze query plans, indexes, and locking behavior.
- Build detailed source to target maps.
- Understanding of dimensional and normalized modelling concepts.
- PLUS: Experience with C-family programming languages, would be BIG advantage
- English knowledge needed
