We are looking for an Automation Engineer to join our European team, focusing on DevOps and operational automation development. The ideal candidate should have experience working in operations, with solid technical experience. The successful will be expected to design, document, and maintain both new and existing automation projects, building on the portfolio of the European Managed Services division. Problem solving and understanding processes to facilitate automation is a must.

Working at NTT

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build and maintain automation workflows.
  • Optimize and expand our automation platform.
  • Ensure systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
  • Dissect technical and operation issues to develop and implement solutions.
  • Produce technical documentation of the automations and the platform.
  • Implement new technologies and tools within the automation platform to remain current with industry best practices and standards.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Experience working in or with an operations team.
  • Python and JavaScript proficiency.
  • Experience with Cloud Computing Systems, for example Azure or AWS.
  • Frontend framework experience such as VUE/Angular/React.
  • Docker and Git experience.

Nice to have Technical Skills:

  • Azure Cognitive Services, or related machine learning experience.
  • Experience working with, and ideally coding to, event management systems.
  • Experience developing for database systems (SQL/NoSQL).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.

Key Attributes:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good team spirit and open to sharing
  • Problem-solving attitude. Displays attention to detail and innovation but is pragmatic also.
  • Analytical thinking, understanding the needs of stakeholders
  • Fluent in English.

Academic Qualifications:

  • Diploma degree or relevant qualification in IT/Computing or demonstrated equivalent work experience.
